Who are the Northern Knights? Established in October of 2000 Northern Knights Martial Arts (NKMA) is an independent organization whose goal is to provide a high quality martial arts / self-defense program at an affordable cost. * After more than 15 years training under the direction of the United States and International Tae Kwon Do Federations, 4 senior instructors began making plans to create a martial art using traditional Tae Kwon Do as a basis and blending in theories and concepts from other arts or styles. After more than 2 years NKMA's Modern American Tactical Tae Kwon Do was officially formed. * Designed for todays world for self-defense, NKMA's M.A.T.T. training not only covers physical techniques but also stresses when to use a martial art and the consequences of self-protection under the law. * NKMA's L'il Dragon Program incorporates information from The National Security Alliance Kid-Safe Network * NKMA is governed by a Board of Senior Directors with more than 70 years experience in studying, developing and teaching the martial arts. All policies and procedures are approved by this board before being implemented into the NKMA handbook and curriculum.
