Training Tips
Impact Training
With the invention of a multitude of training devices and methods of achieving amazing results in minimal time,
many fitness / martial arts programs are unfortunately moving away from the tried and true ways of training to
improve health and overall fitness.

One piece of equipment that has become almost legendary in its shaping of champions is the heavy bag.

The heavy bag is a stuffed bag or free standing water filled bag made of leather or vinyl, which weighs between
40 and 270 pounds, and is used primarily among boxers for building punching power and improving boxing
technique but is equally at home in the martial arts school for developing kicking and punching skills. Hitting the
heavy bag is one of the most physically demanding exercises the average person can do and a true test of
strength and stamina.

For a relatively simple piece of equipment, it has many amazing benefits. Whether it be a full-body workout,
sharpened self-defense skills, or a defined, muscular body.

Below are some of these benefits. Each month we will take an in depth look at each one
